Guidelines for General Theme-based Poster
Theme- Optimal Oral Health: Policy Meets Prevention

An official template will be provided; all sections in the template must be retained without omission

Posters must visually represent the content of the abstract submitted by the presenter.

Presenters are free to use any software of their choice to design the poster.

Use fonts that are easily legible from a distance. Ensure high contrast between text and background (e.g., light text on a dark background or vice versa).

Keep tables simple and readable. Use a minimum font size of 10 points for table content.

Place the figure legends below the corresponding figures..

As posters will be projected on a large screen, use high-resolution images, graphs, and visuals to maintain clarity. Avoid low-quality graphics, as they may appear blurred or pixelated.

Do not embed videos; posters should consist of static content only.

Include relevant references.

Avoid overcrowding the slide. Use clear section headings to guide viewers through your content.

Posters should be submitted as a single slide in PDF format

E-posters will be displayed on a standard LCD screen in Landscape Orientation.

Each presenter will be allotted 3 minutes for presentation, followed by 1 minute for discussion.

Oral Scientific Posters

The poster must follow the structure outlined below. These sections are mandatory:

  • Registration Number / Unique ID
  • Title of the Study
  • Introduction / Need for the Study
  • Objectives
  • Methodology
  • Results
  • Conclusion / Take-Home Message
  • References

Oral Scientific Presentations

Presentation Template: An official presentation template will be provided. All sections included in the template must be strictly retained without omission or alteration.

Suggested Presentation Structure:

  1. Introduction Briefly outline the background of the study and the research problem.
  2. Rationale for the study Clearly state the need for the study, identify gaps in existing knowledge, and explain the relevance or significance of the study.
  3. Objectives / Hypothesis Clearly articulate the specific objectives of the study and/or the hypothesis being tested.
  4. Methodology Describe the study design, setting, sample size, sampling technique, and data collection tools or instruments. Include a note on ethical approval, if applicable.
  5. Results Present the findings using relevant visuals such as tables, charts, or graphs. Ensure that the data is clearly presented and supports the study objectives..
  6. Discussion Interpret the results in relation to existing literature. Highlight any consistencies or discrepancies, and discuss the strengths and limitations of the study.
  7. Conclusion & Recommendations Summarize the key takeaways of your research. Offer practical implications, and suggest directions for future studies or actions.

Time Allocation: Each presenter will be allotted 6 minutes for the presentation, followed by 2 minutes for discussion

Quick Impact Presentations

Purpose of the Format: Quick Impact Presentations (QIP) are intended to promote focused, high-impact communication of research. This category encourages presenters to deliver key insights of their study in a clear, concise, and engaging manner, maximizing audience understanding within a limited timeframe.

Presentation Template: An official presentation template will be provided. All sections included in the template must be strictly retained without omission or alteration.

Presentation Structure: Presenters must strictly follow the structure outlined below:

  1. Introduction & Need for the Study- 1 min Clearly articulate the research problem and its significance within the broader context.
  2. Methodology-1 min Provide a brief overview of the study design, sample size, tools used, and data collection procedures.
  3. Key Results-1 min Present only the most relevant findings using simple charts or tables, if needed. Keep the data focused and easy to interpret.
  4. Conclusion / Take-Home Message- 1 min Summarize the central findings and briefly state their implications or practical relevance.

Time Allocation: Each presenter will be allotted 4 minutes for the presentation, followed by 2 minutes for discussion.
